BENES, Barton Lidice.  Molotov Cocktail.  Original piece from the artist's 'Lethal Weapons' a highly controversial exhibit made up of 30 artworks filled with his own HIV blood.  The show which travelled world-wide, the Swedish exhibition landed the arist in court after health authorities put a quarantine on the show.  Eventually each piece was heated in a hopital oven for 160 degrees for two hours.  This piece comprises a glass tube filled with the artist's blood.  The blood filled tube is surrounded by fire crackers.  Mounted and framed with the Swedish gallery label to verso.  Signed and titled in pencil. £3000
